I'm Josh I grew up on a Cornish farm as a young child, where Land Rovers were part of everyday life. They were the vehicles we worked from, relied on, and gathered around – and my passion started right there. When I was 15, my father and I rebuilt my first Series 2A in the garage , a project that shaped everything I’ve done since.
I didn’t stop at being a practical mechanic. I went on to qualify in engineering and later trained with a main Land Rover dealer, gaining factory-level knowledge to match the skills I learned on the farm.
Eventually, I returned to the values I grew up with – honest work, proper repairs, and treating every vehicle with the same care we gave our own. That’s how JLR Services Cornwall was born.
Today we’re proud to be a family-focused Land Rover specialist, combining heritage, engineering skill and genuine passion. Whether it’s a Series truck, Defender or modern model, every Land Rover gets the same dedication that started with that first 2A rebuild.
Welding & fabrication
We are one of the few garages left who will undertake welding, which means we often save customers the expense of new parts like brackets, exhausts or even chassis components. This is something franchised or main dealer outlets often can’t or won’t do.
CAR SERVICING
At JLR Services we can offer affordable and competitive rates for servicing, using OEM or Genuine Parts. Vehicles will be fully checked over, this will include: wheels removed, brakes checked, all wheel bearings inspected, battery check, door locks lubricated, hand brake adjusted, seat belts and lights checked.

Our labour charge is £55.00 per hour where as franchised dealers charge an average of £94.70 per hour. (Source Warranty Direct).

We fit only OE (Original Equipment) or equivalent parts or quality trusted brand name safety critical parts like Ferrodo, Brembo or Lockheed brake pads.
